Two mornings in a row I have been rudely woken up at 7AM (what, I work for myself, I like getting up at 8AM) to the sounds of starlings chirping outside my window.  Yesterday I just tweeted about it, mildly grumbling to myself.   Today, I decided I needed to open my window to find out what was happening.

This is what I found:

I have seen swarms of birds flying around during wine tasting excursions and I even commented on them during last Saturday’s Artisano festival, but I have never seen so many in my own backyard.  I knew I needed to investigate more.
